A sanding block does not necessarily have to be 100% cork.
Even a thinner cork layer provides the sanding paper with enough grip to prevent it from slipping when working.
DESCRIPTION
It should be robust and handy, the new hand sanding block from MAKE-SELF. Therefore, we decided for a slightly different material structure.
Our hand sanding block consists of 85% natural beech wood and only 15% cork. The beech wood is very hard and does not crumble, making the upper part of the hand sanding block robust and very easy to grip thanks to the rounded edges and the recessed grip.
The length and width of the hand sanding block is chosen so that commercial sanding board 4-split or roll goods 115mm wide can be used.
If you turn the sanding block over, you can use the back of the sanding block to apply ironed edges.
